Kallmann syndrome treatment.
Testosterone therapy treatment in a newly diagnosed patient.
First photo, treatment started at 18.
Second photo, aged 20.
Third photo, aged 22.
My photo at 18 years old.
This is my photo from the final year of school, aged 18, a year before I went to University.
I was still being labelled as a "late developer" at the time. Nobody had asked me about my sense of smell.
I was not diagnosed until I was 23 years old.
Different treatment methods
Nebido - 10 or 12 weekly injection of testosterone undecanoate
Testogel - daily gel application.
Pregnyl - a form of human chorionic gonadotropin for both male and female use. Stimulates natural testosterone production in males
Menopur - a form on menogonadotropin - hMG. Used in fertility treatment as a form of FSH which can help stimulate sperm production.
Ovitrelle. hCG. 6,000 IU pre-filled pen.
Since Pregnyl is not available I have to use another source of hCG.
Ovitrelle is normally used for females as 6,000 IU is too high a dose for male use.
I use half the pen, about 3,000 IU twice a week.
hCG allows the testes to produce natural testosterone
